DIAMOND F WELDING
A brand built around purpose, craftsmanship, thoughtful design and the belief that the things worth building are rarely created without pressure.
OUR STORY01 / THE STORY
Diamond F Welding was created to build something of my own — a company that reflects my character, my work and the purpose behind both.
The Diamond F represents the contrast between coal and diamond: the idea that pressure can transform something ordinary into something exceptional.
The F represents my family name and a tradition of entrepreneurship that began generations before me.
In the 1970s, my grandfather opened Airport Haven, a hamburger joint in the heart of Austin that became a loved local business. His example helped establish a belief that has continued through my family: entrepreneurship is about more than working for yourself. It is about creating something with purpose, enduring the pressure that comes with it and using what you build to support the people you care about.
Diamond F Welding is my continuation of that tradition — something of my own, built on the same principles.
THE DIAMOND ISN'T JUST THE LOGO. IT'S THE STANDARD.
02 / FROM NECESSITY CAME A CRAFT
I originally learned to weld because there was something that needed to be built. My father's business needed handrails that met city code, so I learned how to make them.
That practical beginning still influences the way I approach fabrication today. A piece can look beautiful, but first it has to work.
My engineering background is now at the center of the design process. CAD modeling is used to develop dimensions, refine proportions and create the DXF files used during fabrication.
Engineering determines whether an idea works. An appreciation for architecture and art determines whether it deserves to be built.
DIAMOND F PHILOSOPHY
Function first.
Design without compromise.
03 / THE PLANTERS
Heavy steel provides more strength than the application demands while allowing the exposed upper edge to remain narrow, clean and architectural.
The exterior is designed around clean lines and complete construction rather than shortcuts intended to reduce fabrication time.
Angled walls, subtle proportions and custom configurations allow each planter to become part of the architecture instead of simply sitting beside it.
FUNCTION BELOW THE SURFACE
Standard planters use a raised internal bottom that provides approximately 15 inches of planting depth while eliminating unnecessary soil volume.
For plants requiring deeper root systems, the internal depth can be changed as part of a custom order.
THE GOAL
The goal is for them to notice how complete the landscaping feels.
04 / THE STANDARD
There are two things I refuse to compromise: function and the feeling the finished piece gives its owner.
A product has to perform the job it was built for. But functionality alone isn't enough.
The dimensions have to feel right. The proportions have to complement the property. The installation needs to make sense. And when everything is finished, the customer should be able to stand back and feel that the space is better because the piece is there.
05 / CUSTOM WORK
Custom work isn't an exception at Diamond F. It's encouraged.
Different dimensions. Unusual corners. Architectural planters. Gates. Pipe fence. Custom steelwork. Or an idea that currently exists as nothing more than a sketch.
The work comes from a love of architecture, art, engineering and stewarding what we have been blessed with.
Bring the idea.
We'll figure out how to build it.
06 / BUILT TO CREATE
Diamond F Welding isn't limited to a single product.
Today that includes architectural planters, custom steel fabrication, gates, pipe fence and mobile repair. Tomorrow it may mean something we haven't built yet.
The common thread isn't the product. It's the way it's made.
Designed thoughtfully. Built properly. Made to serve a purpose.
BEYOND STEEL
The same appreciation for materials, craftsmanship and enduring design behind Diamond F extends beyond steel.
A new leatherwork and silversmithing brand is currently being built around those same principles.

THE MARK BEHIND THE WORK
The Diamond F is a reminder that worthwhile things are rarely created without pressure — the businesses we build, the work we perform, the people we become and the responsibility we carry for those who depend on us.
